The Schapiro sisters hope their family’s farm will offer future generations the same sense of peace and connection to nature that it has given them.
For nearly a century, sisters Susan Schapiro and Sally Vernon have cherished their farm on the north shore of Eatonbrook Reservoir. Now, they have chosen to donate this beloved place to the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation (CPF) so that its beauty and peace will be safeguarded forever.
To permanently protect and responsibly steward this property for generations to come, CPF has established The Schapiro Farm Legacy Fund to care for its 370 acres of fields, forests, shoreline, and wetlands.
Thanks to grants from The Nature Conservancy, the Central New York Community Foundation, gifts from the Schapiro family and the incredible generosity of supporters like you, we are 93% of the way to meeting our fundraising goal. We have $32,635 left to raise in order to meet our $500,000 target.
