Good news! CPF is happy to announce that we have been able to reschedule our Creek Critter Exploration program, which was originally planned for June 7 but postponed due to inclement weather.
Get ready for an adventure at Creekside Park in Cazenovia!
Join natural scientist Mat Webber of the Izaak Walton League, and members of the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation for a hands-on stream exploration that’s perfect for nature lovers, environmentalists, anglers, and curious minds of all ages.
This is a free event. But, please register, so that we know how many participants we can expect. And bring your curiosity and prepare for some fun—we’ll see you at the creek!
What’s living in Chittenango Creek? You’ll get up close with fascinating stream creatures like insect larvae, crayfish, and worms while learning how they reveal the health of the water.
Anglers, take note! This session will help you pick the right flies for fishing and make observations that improve your own fly tying.
Come prepared! Wear waders or water shoes for an immersive experience.
