1/24/2026 Update:
If you’ve been paying attention to the forecast, then it probably comes as no surprise that we are canceling the Snowshoe Sunday event for January 25 due to the approaching winter storm. We think that this is the first time that we have canceled this event because of TOO MUCH snow!
Stay home and stay safe tomorrow, then join us on Winterfest Weekend for the Lantern-lit Snowshoe Hike at 5:00pm on Saturday February 7th or our regular Sunday Snowshoe event on Sunday February 8th!
Snowshoe Sundays with CPF are a free, family-friendly way to embrace winter and get outside! Bundle up and explore our scenic trails while enjoying a fun, low-impact workout that’s perfect for all ages. If conditions aren’t snowy enough, we’ll simply switch gears and enjoy a winter hike instead.
Location: We will start and end Snowshoe Sundays at Meier’s Creek Brewing Company at 33 Rippleton Rd, Cazenovia, NY. After the hike, warm up by the fire pits with fellow adventurers. Meier’s Creek will be serving “FROSTY,” a special brew available only on Snowshoe Sundays—$8 per pour, with $1 donated to support CPF.
All adults must complete a waiver form for themselves and their minor children prior to participating. Forms may be completed in advance using our online Snowshoe Sundays Registration Form, or in person on the day of the event.
We encourage you to bring your own snowshoes, if you have them. A limited number of snowshoes are available to borrow, courtesy of the Friends of Stoney Pond (FROSTY). To ensure a pair is available for you, please reserve them online below. If you plan to borrow snowshoes, arrive by 11:30 a.m. to allow time for check-in and gearing up.
