People sit in lawn chairs in large green meadow listening to a string quartet as the sunsets red, gold, and orange.

Join the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation for Music in the Meadow, a relaxed outdoor concert featuring The Syracuse Orchestra Quartet and celebrating community, local agriculture, and land conservation.

Time: 5:30 p.m. — picnic grounds open | 7:00 p.m. — concert begin

This year’s location: A scenic field of the Gianforte Farm on Peth Road in Cazenovia, approximately 1.2 miles from East Lake Road. The entrance will be clearly marked with CPF flutter flags.

Event Details

As the concert will take place in a working farm field that will be mowed shortly before the event, you may prefer to bring folding chairs rather than picnic blankets for this year's event.

Enjoy tractor-pulled wagon rides from the parking area up the hill to the picnic area, courtesy of Jimmy and Janine Golub of Our Farm, and CPF’s own Board President Dave Gerber.

Volunteers will be available to help carry picnic gear from the parking area to the concert site.

Accessible portable restrooms will be available, and parking will be in the field. For everyone's safety, please do not park along Peth Road.

About the Gianforte Farm

The concert will take place on land permanently protected through a conservation easement secured by the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation. In 2022, working with the Gianforte family and the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets' Farmland Protection Implementation Grant (FPIG) Program, CPF helped conserve 471 acres of productive farmland for future generations.

Today, Gianforte Farm grows organic grains that are sold wholesale and milled on the farm into products including rolled oats and flour. Their locally milled products are available at the 20 | East shop in the Village of Cazenovia and are enjoyed by customers throughout the East Coast.

Join us for an evening of exceptional music, beautiful scenery, and a celebration of the working landscapes that make our community so special.
