The mission of the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation is to protect historic, agricultural and natural resources in and around Cazenovia for the benefit of the community. To this end, CPF owns almost 400 acres of property in the Cazenovia area, holds conservation easements on another 1100 acres and has facade easements for several local historic structures. CPF members have participated in virtually every community planning exercise over the last 40 years. CPF has also provided technical and financial support to individuals and organizations for historic preservation projects.
CPF's accomplishments are the result of over four decades of contributions and leadership from hundreds of members in the community. Our long record of responsible stewardship has given people the confidence to entrust CPF with the preservation of their lands, waters and historic structures. Prudent financial management combined with thousands of hours of volunteer labor for everything from trail construction to legal work has made CPF a leading advocate for the enduring uniqueness of Cazenovia.
